Advocacy
CIPHI works to protect the health of all Canadians on environmental issues while promoting the science of environmental health and the profession.
CIPHI accomplishes this mandate by reviewing and acting on specific issues relating to public health & safety. The Institute also advocates on behalf of the dedicated professionals working on the frontline of Environmental Health services here in Canada. This advocacy function is delivered by the National Advocacy Committee. The committee provides support to the Branches and will respond to requests submitted by its Members and its partner agencies. The National Advocacy Committee is primarily engaged in the dissemination of information via position statements, media releases and by correspondence with policy decision-makers.
